Railway Passenger Fined For Smoking
(Special) HAMILTON, This Day. Saying that defendant had shown a lack of consideration for other people, Mr S. L. Paterson. S.M., fined Ernest Alfred Powell £2 yesterday for smoking in a non-smoking railway carriage after he had been warned by the guard to desist. The defendant said that hr had reserved seats in a smoking carriage and had been placed in a non-smoker.
