The American doudles champions, G. Mulloy and W. Talbert, were eliminated in the quarter final of the Australian doubles championship by the Victorian pair, C. Long and L. Brodie, 4—G, 8-6. G—l. G—2. Talbert had not recovered from an attack of diabetes at the week-end. J. Bromwich, D. Pails, both of New South Wales, and T. Brown and Mulloy. of America, entered the semi-finals of the men’s singles. Bromwich and Brown appear likely to contest the final.
