(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A close finish is likely in the fourth day’s play today of the final of the Hallyburton-Johnstone Shield women's cricket competition between Auckland and Wellington. At the end of their first innings the Wellington team was 17 runs behind Auckland, and in their second innings made 224, which left Auckland 208 to get an outright win. When stumps were drawn yesterday the Auckland team had collected 83 runs for two wickets. Valuable contributions were made to Wellington’s second innings by I. Lamason. who made 64 not out, and J. Hatcher 59. P. Batty took 5 for 53. Daniels 3 for 24.
