Distribution Of Bottled Milk

Distribution of bottled milk in Whangarei has now reached 440 gallons in one-pint bottles daily, the Whangarei Milk Authority was advised last night by the distributing company. This was approximately 66 per cent of the total milk delivered to consumers. This month it was expected to have five of the borough zones changed over to bottled supply, leaving two zones partly changed over.

Wire crates were still difficult to obtain, but a further consignment was expected by the end of the month and they would be put immediately into use.

Provided deliveries of crates arrived as promised, it was expected that all zones would bo changed over to bottled milk by the end of February.
