Freight Carried By Air Service Today
Freight was carried for the first time on the Northland air service today when 281 b. were carried from Kaitaia to Auckland this afternoon. There were eight passengers from Kaitaia to Kaikohe, where one left the plane and one emplaned. Three left the machine at Onerahi and five took their seats, the plane leaving for Auckland with a full load.
HOLD-UP.—Four armed and masked men held up Ihe cashier in the Orthodox Jewish Bank in a busy street in central Jerusalem after the electric light had failed and siole £2OOO and a quantity of jewels.
