Holland Wary Of Displeasing Slays

(Rec. 2 p.m.) THE HAGUE, Nov. 7.

Holland must do everything possible to understand Russia and avoid everything likely .to cause a cleavage between East and West, says a foreign policy statement by the Netherlands Government.

The statement adds: “It is undeniable that there is a line of demarcation in the international political world between the so-called Slav Bloc and other states.

“The Netherlands Government is convinced that peace can only be maintained if the two groups can be brought together.” The Government rejected charges that Holland has orientated towards the Western Powers championing their* cause. It argued that the Western Powers were fully able to look after themselves.

The Government announced that the Netherlands would join in the occupation of Germany as soon as troops were available.
