German Miners Seek Higher Wages

(Rec. 1 p.m.) BERLIN, Nov. G. The United States Military Government in Germany has granted trade unions permission to negotiate for wage increases for 400,000 miners. This is the first time since the occupation that an entire industry has been permitted to bargain for higher wages. The unions previously were allowed to negotiate only for better conditions.
