(P.A.) DUNEDIN. This Day. Unless building supplies become available unemployment in the building trade looms in the future. A warning of this was contained in a letter sent to the Minister of Works (Mr Semple) by the Otago branch of the Bricklayers’ Union. First indications had already developed in the fibrous plaster trade and if no urgent steps were taken to deal with the timber situation it would shortly afrc-ct the carpentry trade and ultimately all others where material deficiencies existed, the letter stated. Unemployment in the building trade when the housing shortage was so acute would he calamitous. ,
