Fighting At Chefoo

(Rec. 11 a.m.) PIEPING, Nov. 5. •Chinese Communists attempting to devert the Government forces from their Chefoo offensive, attacked numerous towns along the Tsinian railway.

The Reds rushed reinforcements to Chefoo. where severe fighting is raging.

Government troops capttired two more towns north of Tunghwa, South Manchuria, and also captured Tsaho, near- Paoting, capital of the Hopeh Province. •

One report says Government forces entered Paoting. A Chinese Communist spokesman in Nanking said the Government offensive had reached saturation point and that its outstretched lines were beginning to show vulnerability to Communist attacks.
