Inquiry Into Court Martial System
(Rec. 1 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 5. The Minister of War (Mr F. J. Bellenger) announced in the House of Commons that terms of reference of the committee inquiring into the court martial system, include special reference to the question of whether it was desirable to provide for dn appeal from the findings and sentences of courts martial and if so in what form, also to investigate the power of commanding officers of courts martial to award punishment and the scale and nature of such punishment.
