Export Levy On Hides Higher (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day.
“The export levy on hides and calfskins (other than freezers) has been increased on all purchases fixed for export on and after yesterday, states the Hides Committee. The new rates are:—Ox hides, 12d per lb.; cow hides, 12d; yearlings, 12Jd; calfskins, 20d. The new levy is an increase of 2d a lb. on ox and cow hides and yearlings and 5d on calfskins.
