New Airmail Rate in US
(Rec. 10.0.) WASHINGTON, Aug. 25. A flat overseas airmail rate of 10 cents a half-ounce will be introduced by the United States on October 1, simultaneously- with a new 5 cents internal airmail rate. The assistant Postmaster-General (Mr G. K. Sullivan) predicted a maximum airmail delivery time of 40 hours to any part of the world within five years.
