'Waltz Time' Is Picturesque Musical
"Waltz Time," now showing at the Regent, has .a picturesque story of the introduction of the waltz into Vienna and its attendant romances. Caro! Raye takes die role of thi■ young empress enamoured of her officer of the guard (Peter Graves). Patricia Medina is the daughter of the elderly councillor who opposes (he dancing of the waltz on the grounds of immorality. The settings are extremely lavish, the whole action centring round the court and luxurious ballroom scenes. Richard Tauber is no doubt the mam attraction and it is disappointing that he only appears once. Webster Booth and Ann Zeigler provide most of die singing and the music is by Albert Sandler.
