Hykeresnui Nationalists

Prior to the establishment of the new electoral boundaries, Hukerenui was partly in the Bay of Islands and partly in Marsden electorate. However, at the National Party meeting held in the Hukerenui, Hall last night all those present were from the same electorate as the whole of the district is now in Marsden electorate, Mr S. W. Crawford, vice-chairman for the Marsden electorate, addressed the large gathering and urged the necessity for the farmers to get drought relief. Mr F. Rusk was elected chairman at the meeting and Mr Rouse secretary. The M.P. for Marsden (Mr A. J. Murdoch) was also present.
