(Rec. 1.30 p.m.i CANBERRA, This Day Institutions had done their share and it was now up to individuals, said Mr Chifley, giving a progress statement on the Security Loan. He continued that the individual response was not satisfactory, though the total continued to rise steadily. So far, £55,500,000 has been received from 100.000 subscribers. To reach the required £70.000.000 within the currency of the loan, a daily target of £1,250.000 is required.
