Yugoslavia Shy Of Allied Aviators
(Rec. 11.0 a.m.) LONDON, April 1. Declaring that Yugoslavia had protested on February 28 against Allied flights over Yugsolav territory without reply, Marshal Tito today told Parliament that the flights constituted a threat against the nation’s peace and security and that the people could not tolerate such provocations, states the Belgrade correspondent of the Associated Press.
Marshal Tito added that Yugoslavia had recognised all the obligations of previous Governments to America. He thought the last obstacle to understanding had been removed. ALBANIA UNFRIENDLY The British military mission in Albania is withdrawing, says Reuter’s Rome correspondent. It is learned that relations between the British and the Albanian Government have become increasingly difficult. The head of the British mission, Brigadier Hodgson is now in Italy. It is thought unlikely that he will return.
The British diplomatic representative to Albania, Mr T. O. Rapp, appointed some months ago, remains in Italy, after correspondence with Tirana revealed an unsatisfactory situation.
