Presented With USA Gold Bodge
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. This Day The gold badge of life membership of llie New Zealand Returned Services Association was presented to Admiral Mountbatten by the Dominion vicepresident. Mr C. O. Bell, at the- Wellington R.S.A. yesterday afternoon. Lady Louis Mountbatten was present. There have been only 22 such awards in the association's 30 years' existence, among the holders being thg present. King, the Duke of Windsor. the Governor-General. Sir Cyril Newal*. and the Governor-General* designate. Sir Bernard Frey berg. The honour is conferred for outstanding service to the Empire. New Zealand or the R.S.A.
