Policy In Austria
(Rec. 1.20 p.m.) LONDON, Mar. 31 All parties in Austria have agreed on action to be taken against 500,000 Austrian Nazis, says the Times Vienna correspondent.
The Nazis are being divided into four classes:—
(1) War criminals and senior party officials, who will be dealt with by the law courts.
(2) Junior officials and members of the SS, who will suffer a 20 to 50 per cent capital levy and who will be dismissed without pension from public office and prohibited from following certain professions, joining a political party or voting for five years. (3) Ordinary members of the party who suffer similar disabilities for three years, but will be permitted to join political parties and vote. (4) Candidates for party membership who, in most cases, will not bo furnished.
