Defectives, Armed Man Fight

'.Special> NAPIER, This Day. Two detectives and a man armed with a loaded pistol fought in the Central Hotel. NapicV, yesterday morning. Following three burglaries on Saturday night the detectives worn to one ot tiie rooms al the hotel. When Detective-Sergeant K. W. Mills ihrc-'.v open the door of the room tie was confronted by a heavy-built man holding u .45 pistol. The detective immediately rushed into the room, pushed the pistol aside and grappled with the man. He was joined in the struggle by Detective A." Reid. Reinforcements arrived from the police station, and the man way finally taken away, still struggling. He will be charged in the Napier Police Court. A quantity of goods alleged to have been stolen was found in the room.
