Kiripaka Man Found Dead In Bed

Failing to make his usual morning appearance at a neighbour’s. Samuel Paskcll, 68. single, caretaker of a farming property at Kiripaka, was found to be dead. He was a returned soldier from the 1914-18 war.

The body was discovered by Mr F. Cotton, the neighbour, who went ' to Mr Paskell’s bach to ascertain why lie had not put in an appearance yesterday morning. Mr Paskell was found in bed. the electric light still burning. An inquest was opened yesterday morning by the district coroner (Mr G. IT. Morrish) and, after evidence of identification had been taken, was adjourned sine die.
