Unrest In Trieste

TRIESTE. March 30

The commander of Ihe Allied Military Government in Trieste (Colonel Smuts) has declared the Slovene Communist “action committee" organisation illegal and ordered its dissolution. The organisation was formed after the general strike a fortnight ago. Trieste police raided the headquarters of a Communist cultural circle in the San Giacomo district. They arrested 15 persons and seized three sub-machine-guns and other arms. The raid followed an attack on March 29 in the San Giacomo area in which two policemen were injured. MIKHAILOVICH A person broadcasting from a clandestine Yugoslav radio station, which was heard in Salonika, introduced himsel'f as Mikhailovich, and said that the person reported to have been arrested was an impersonator, who evidently bore a striking personal resemblance to himself.
