No Amalgamation
(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH. This Day. Of 1521 Lyttelton residents who voted on Saturday on the proposal to amalgamate with the city of Christchurch an overwhelming number elected that the status of the borough remain unchanged. With most of the declarations counted, the voting figures on Saturday night were:—For amalgamation, 326; against amalgamation, 1181; informal, Is.
