Britain’s Loyal Arab Ally Now Free
(Roc. 10.30 a.m.) LONDON. Mar. 23 Th treaty of alliance between Britain and the Emir at Transjordan, the terms of which were published in a White Paper today, provides that Britain may continue to station armed forces in Transjordan.
The Emir will grant facilities at all times for the movement and training of British armed forces. Should either party become involved in hostilities as a result of an armed attack by a third party, the other party will immediately come to its aid.
There shall be perpetual peace and friendship between th- two countries, with Britain recognising Transjordan as a fully independent State. Should a dispute arise which might endanger the maintenance of international peace and security, a solution b 3" peaceful means, as provided in the Charter of the United Nations should be sought.
