Indonesians Open Fire
(Rec. 2.45 p.m.) LONDON. March 29.
Anti-aircraft batteries at Sourabaya fired at Allied planes which, in retaliation. strafed guns, one of which, was silenced, says the Batavia correspondent of the Associated Press. Indonesian extremists mortared a British post in the same district, fired on British troops who were investigating fires in Bandoeng, and mortared a British camp at Tjimahi. Dutch troops patrolling Batavia met opposition from Republicans.
