Beech - Holman

The Presbyterian Church. Whangarei. was tile scene ol' an attractive wedding on Saturday lasi when Isabel, only daughter ol Mr and Mrs F. S. Holman, Whan Valley, was married lo Nolan, youngest son ol Mr and Mrs V. Beech, Maiamaia. The Rev. T. li. Burton was the officiating minister, and Mr B. Fairburn played the organ music. The bride, who was given away fay her father, wore a lovely gown of ivory bridal satin fashioned lo a long fitting bodice with full-length sleeves. A fully flared trained skirt was finished with a large lover's knot ol silk rouleaux. A hip-length veil embroidered with liny lover’s knots was topped with a spray of water lilies. A cascade bouquet of water lilies, cacti and roses was carried. The bride was attended by Miss Betty Lees, and Miss Vilma Going, niece of the bridegroom. Both looked charming in similar gowns of ice organdie with a pretty topknot of crimson flowers. The best man was Mr V. If. Baker, of HelensviUe, and the groomsman. Mr K. if. Dreadon. of Dargaville. both returned servicemen.

Tin- reception was held :ti the Regal Tearooms where Mr and Mrs Holman entertained over 70 of the young couple's relatives and friends.
