Spellman In Madrid
(Rec. 11 a.rn.) MADRID, Mar. 3. Cardinal Spellman, of New York, arrived in Madrid by air from Rome. He was accorded a reception at the United States Embassy. He resumed his flight to Lisbon two hours after his arrival. * y
During a two-hour stay in Madrid today, Cardinal Spellman met Franco’s Foreign Minister (Alberto Artajo), says Reuter’s Madrid correspondent.
Artajo called on Cardinal Spellman at the United States Embassy with a party of high Ministry officials.
