France Recognises Austria
PARIS, January 4
A spokesman of the Foreign Ministry announced that France had decided to accord full recognition to the Austrian Government. He said Austria's 1937 frontiers would be recognised tentatively, subject to later rectification by the Peace Treaty.
He added that Britain and America would shortly accord similar recognition.
