Orders Against Credits

WELLINGTON, This Day Ey the Destitute Persons (Crown Moneys) Order, 1945, gazetted last night, provision is made enabling a charge order under the Destitute Persons Act to be made by a magistrate in respect of mopeys due to defendant by any Government department. However, a serviceman’s pay and all moneys due to a serviceman upon his discharge, such as the mufti allowance, deferred pay and gratuity, are excluded from the scope of such charge orders.
