Christmas Day Plans For N.Zers In Britain

(Special) LONDON. Dec. 18. Christmas dinner at the Fernleaf or Milestone Clubs in London on Christmas Day, then off to Wales to see the Kiwis play Cardiff on Boxing Day—that is the programme’ of a large number of the New Zealanders in London. Cardiff has not been beaten in 16 games and it is generally thought that if any team can beat the Kiwis, it will be these Welshmen. There will be some 2300 New Zealanders in Britain for Christmas, including 500 R.N.Z.N.V.R. personnel, 770 of the Army, and 200 from Italy on leave, together with over 800 members’ of the R.N.Z.A.F., though some of these may have to be with squadrons on the Continent.
