Charged With Cruelty To Hungarian Jews

(11.30 a.m.) BUDAPEST, Dec. 18. There were shouts of “hang them” from the public section of the court when Andor Jaross, ex-Hungarian Minister for the Interior, Laszlo Endre and Laszlo Salty, both ex-State Secretaries, appeared in the dock to answer charges of responsibility - for the deportation of 700,000 Hungarian Jews. They were accused of carrying out inhuman deportations with old and siek people and babies crowded into railway waggons in which many died before reaching their destinations.
