Clem Hill, Former Test Cricketer, Dead
(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE. 'This Day. Clem Hill, famous Australian Test captain and former Victorian Amateur Turf Club handicappcr, died last night in hospital, aged 68. Hill was admitted to hospital on May 17 after a fall from a tram. He suffered head injuries, but a serious heart condition developed. Hill was one of Australia’s greatest cricketers. Many authorities regarded him as the most brilliant left-hander to play cricket.
