Kaikohe Dissatisfied With Road Services
(Special) KAIKOHE, This Day Once more dissatisfaction was voiced last evening by members of the Kaikohe Chamber of Commerce at the fact that no through bus to the North touches at this town, placing it at a considerable disadvantage in regard to travel facilities to either Kaitaia, Whangarei or Auckland when compared with facilities available for other centres. A member stated that two buses now ran io Kaitaia every morning, one from Auckland and one from Whangarei, whereupon another member stated that yet another AuckiandKaitaia service, leaving the city at about 9 a.m.. had recently been inaugurated. >.n all these cases Kaikohe had been excluded, yet the deviation from the State highway involved only seven miles extra running. The matter was referred to the chamber’s transport sub-committee for further inquiry.
