Jap. Fleet Headed For Australia

(Rec. 3.0.) NEW YORK, Sept. 4. Vice-Admiral Tamas Kanabewa told the Mutual Broadcasting System’s correspodent that the Japanese fleet was heading for Port Moresby and then going to Australia when the Coral Sea battle occurred in 1942. Admiral Kanabewa said the Japanese had not invaded Pearl Harbour after the 194.1 attack because they feared they would not be able to keep supplies moving to the troops. “When we lost Gaudalcanar. we knew we had overtaxed our supply lines,” he said.
