Want British Goods
(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 23 The London Chamber of Commerce is receiving more than 100 enquiries every day from firms overseas, reports the “Evening News.” The Chamber, which represents more than 11,000 firms, has already been able to put hundreds of United Kingdom manufacturers in touch with customers abroad. While requirements cover every type of manufactured goods, textiles and machinery are in greatest demand. Liberated countries are anxious for industrial equipment, especially machinery, chemicals and glassware.
