“Romeo And Joliet”

A screen dramatisation of probably ono cl' the best known of Shakespeare’s plays, “Romeo and Juliet.” is the film of the same name now screening at. the Plaza Theatre. The entrancing love tale is starred by Norma Shearer and Leslie Howard. Although an old film, the picture has lost none of its significance and drama content since it was last presented in Whangarei some years ago. The acting is stirringly realistic and both Miss Shearer and Howard give excellent performances. Accompanying artists, John Barrymore. Basil Rathbone and Sir Aubrey C, Smith serve to give the film a distinguished touch, the whole cast: combining in such a manner as to make the acting memorable. Excellent supports are included on the programme.
