Letters Far Singapore
(P.A.) ' WELLINGTON. This Day. The Postmaster-General (Hon. F. Jones) staled today that the R.N.Z.A.F, planes which were going to Singapore to begin the repatriation of prisoners of war and civilian internees in Japanese hands would be used to carry mail to such prisoners and internees. Persons desiring to send letters should address them as usual. Only light letters would be carried, but the restriction bn wordage no longer applied. No guarantee of delivery could be made, but every endeavour would be made to see that letters were delivered.
