West End Street Fight
LONDON, August 19. Bricks and razors were used and shots were fired in street fighting in the West End early this morning between coloured and American soldiers who were enraged by a report that coloured rrlen had beaten up and stabbed an American marine and a white girl. Some coloured men took refuge in a club, 'which the Americans besieged until military police intervened. Five Americans were injured. _;
