New Chairman For Whangaroa Dairy Co.
(Special.) KAEO, This Day. A new chairman was elected at the annual meeting of the Whangaroa Co-operative Dairy Company, in accordance with the resolution passed three years ago to have maximum two-yearly periods of chairmanship. The choice this year fell on Mr E. B. Weber, of Pupuke, who has been a director for nine years. The retiring chairman is Mr J. L. Johansen, of Saies. Retiring directors, Messrs. Weber and H. W. Driver, of Kerikeri, were re-elected unopposed, a postal ballot being unnecessary. An important recommendation to the directors, made at the annual meeting, was one to pay an extra Id per lb butterfat to all overseas ex-servicemen suppliers. Period of this payment is* for the , next two years. After the last war, the company paid out a similar amount for a five-year period.
