Whangarei Team To Cosiest Brake Shield

The following is the Whangarei junior Representative team to challenge for the Brake Shield against Northern Wairoa, at Bargaville, next Saturday:— Wilson (School),. Cunningham (School), Johnson, captain (School), Murphy (O.B.), Beazley (O.B.), Howson (City), Macnay (Horaliora), Cochrane (School), Irvine (O.B.), Wedge (Hikurangi), Hill (School), Phillpott (City), Berridge (O.B.), Butler (O.B.), Smith (Central). Reserves: Backs Martin (City), Garry (Central); forwards —Latham (Hikurangi), Twizell (School). Players are to assemble at the ’bus depot, Water Street, at 7.25 a.m. on Saturday, and are requested to keep in strict training. Harding- Shield Names. - The following players will assemble at Rugby Park at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, when the Whangarei team to challenge for the Harding Shield will' be selected:— Brydon, Codling, White, Cunningham (Hikurangi), Slater, Broughton, Lornie, Pollock (Central), R. Griffin, Russell, Mclntyre, Rae, George, James, I. Fraser (Old Boys), Parkes, Newson, Taylor (Horahora), N. Fraser, McTavish (United). E. Griffin (Old Boys) is not available, owing to illness.

COLLEGE RUGBY MATCHES College Rugby matches played on Saturday resulted: — Gisborne High School 11, King’s College 8; New Plymouth Boys’-High School 13, Auckland Grammar School 3; Mt. Albert Grammar School 19, Napier Boys’ High School 6; Sacred Heart College 15, Wairarapa High School 8.
