Fertiliser Allocation

(P.A.), WELLINGTON. This Day A new phesphatic fertiliser control order gazetted last night dispenses with the special per cow allocation for dairy farmers authorised by the 1944 order. In its place provision has been made for a general increase in allocation of phosphatic fertiliser to all farmers for top-dressing equivalent to 42 per cent of the average annual quantity of superphosphate used for top-dressing during the two-year base period ended May 31, 1941. Announcing this last night, the Minister for Agriculture (Hon. B. Roberts) said the allocation for wheat grown in said the allocation for what grown in the South Island had also been increased from lewt to lj-cwt per acre.
