Chinese Still Advance
(1.30 p.m.) CHUNGKING, July 5. The High Command announced that the Chinese have recaptured the highway centre of Fahsien, 210 miles south-east of Liuchow. They also reached the Lojung area, 20 miles northeast of Liuchow, in their drive along the Hunan-Kwansi railroad. The Chinese launched a three-column drive on June 29 against Paoking and made considerable gains. Fierce fighting is continuing.
