Americans Seize Great Chemical Trust
(Rec. 1.50 p.m.) LONDON, July 5. The United States Military Government has seized the great German chemical trust, I. G. Farben Industrie, in the American zone and placed it under an American manager, Col. Edwin Pillsbury pending its ultimate disposition by the Four Power Control authority. The present German management will be removed and plants will be run to the extent permitted under Col. Pillsbury’s control.
