Lists Of War Criminals
LONDON. May 4 The United Nations War Crimes Commission has compiled and transmil ted to the authorities charged with the duty of arresting war criminals, two additional lists of German criminals. The new lists contain. the names of many German officials and Nazi leaders considered by the commission. Before the preparation of the two new lists there had been sent to the authorities five lists of war criminals and the two new lists thus bring the total to seven. Another list was closed on May 3, and will be placed in the hands of the apprehending authorities without delay. It is pointed out that the War Crimes Commission has dealt promptly with all charges and information sent to it by various Governments, and this phase of its work is up to date. The commission, therefore, is ready to handle without delay, further cases expected shortly from 16 Governments represented on the commission.
Hit Japan.—A sizeable force of superFort resses attacked air installations in Southern Japan today, says a 20th Atr Force communique. Results were good and flak meagre. Air opposition was weak. No planes were lost.
