“Battle For Argentina”

NEW YORK. March 5. British business men have fired the first shots in the battle for Argentina’s postwar trade by submitting a detailed programme of proposed exports to recover the large markets lost during the war. says the “Hehald-Tribuno’s” Buenos Ayres correspondent. The programme would also help Argentina to obtain large quantities of locomotives, railway equipment, trucks, buses, cars, machinery and other manufactured products needed to meet shortages caused by the war. Virtually every ship brings to Argentina scores of British businessmen, many of whom are offering immediate shipments.
