Coal. —Only 9000 tons of coal have been lost through stoppages in New South Wales during the past week. This is a reduction of about 30,000 tons compared with the losses for the Drevious week. Death. —The Brussels newspaper “La Nation Beige” reported that a special court at Charleroi, on the testimony of 1G witnesses sentenced to death Fernand Daumerie. so-called “butcher of Breendonck.” Breendonck concentration camp was midway between Brussels and Antwerp and was the most notorious in Belglum. Crash.—A trans-continental Western Airlines plane, bound for New York, crashed in a heavy fog when gliding in for a landing at Burbank airport. killing seven of the 23 passengers and crew, says a Los Angeles message.
