Drank Ragwort Poison In Mistake For Tea

(P.A.) HAMILTON, This Day A child was fatally poisoned on a fatin at Motumacho, near Morrinsville, yesterday. She was: Cynthia Evyleen McQuoyd, aged six years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. S. McQuoid, of Quarry Road, Mohumacho. Her father was milkign at the time after being engaged in eradicating ragwort and had a bottle of tea and another bottle containing weed poison in a bag. It, is assumed that the child drank the poison in mistake for tea. She was rushed to a doctor’s residence in Morrinsville but died Shortly after arrival.
