Whangarei Rugby Union Invests £350 In Loan

An investment of £350 in the Victory Lean was made by the management committee of the Whangarei Rugby Union in the Victory Loan last night. Arrangements were completed for the representative match between Whangarei and Bay of Islands senior teams next Saturday. when tlie curtain-raiser will be between the school junior team and a junior colts’ team, to be selected by Messrs. T. Conaghan and F. Jones. It was decided that letters of congratulation should be sent to the Hikurangi, School and Air Training Corps teams which had won the junior, third grade and third grade supplementary competit ions respectively. A committee comprising Messrs. A. N. Harris, T. Conaghan, L. Leckie. G. W. Pickering, F. Jones and D. Ross was appointed to effect improvements to Rugby Park during the summer months.
