Fierce Invercargill Fire

(P.A.) INVERCARGILL, This Day. The biggest fire in Invercargill for many years raged for over an hour in Tay Street last night. The top floor of J. E. Watson and C.o's three-storeyed building was completely burned out and the ceiling above the first floor, occupied by P. Hayman and Co., was extensively damaged. None of Hayman and Co.’s stock was burned, but the bulk of it was either .ruined or severely damaged by water.
