Cost Of Living Bonus
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. This Day The principal business of the annual meeting of the council of the Superannuated Public Servants’ Association this week was consideration of steps to secure removal of anomalies and drawbacks attached to the cost of living bonus of £2(l recently granted _ superannuitants with incomes below £335. Disabilities include two adverse or excluding 1 conditions which do not apply to the similar bonus granted certain public servants about two years sooner, and total or partial cancellation of bonus to those who need it most. The following officers were elected:— President. Mr. J . Caughlcy, Auckland: immediate past president. Mr. H. D. Growcott, Wellington; vice-president, Mr. J. S. Barnett, Christchurch; general sec-retary-treasurer, Mr. H. L. Cooper, Wellington.
