Flying-Bomb Wreckage

LONDON, September 29.

A total of 52,277 dwellings in the London civil defence region were damaged and made not habitable as a result of flying-bomb attacks, the Minister for Health (Mr H. U. Willink) told a House of Commons questioner. A further 77,030 were seriously damaged but habitable, and 873,177 less seriously damaged. Two Hqinkel Ills used for launching flying-bombs against England were destroyed over the North Sea during the night by R.A.F. fighters. Only a few flying-bombs were sent over the East Coast.
